Culvert Resources

Culverts are an important asset that tackle a simple task – to convey water through roadway sections. Culvert types, sizes, installation methods, maintenance efforts and inventory assessments are a few areas to understand for this roadway component. The federal bridge designation includes any bridge, box or pipe with a span of 20' or more. Below 20' in span length, the main breakdown for structures include: culvert, box culvert or small bridge. This resource section focuses primarily on steel, concrete and plastic culverts.
